The Team Project
TEAM – Together Everyone Achieves More is an Erasmus+ Sport Cooperation Partnership project that aims to enhance the employability and social inclusion of young people aged 18–30 through participation in team sports. The project is based on the recognition that team sports constitute a structured environment where young people develop transversal skills that are highly relevant to the labour market but are often not formally recognised or articulated.
TEAM focuses on basketball, football, and volleyball as learning contexts and brings together sport organisations and labour-market stakeholders to support the transfer of sport-based skills into professional and social contexts.
Aims & Objectives
The main aim of the TEAM project is to strengthen the employability prospects of young people by supporting the identification, development, and recognition of transversal skills acquired through team sports. The project also aims to promote social inclusion and equal opportunities by actively engaging young people with fewer opportunities in structured sport-based learning activities.
Objectives
The specific objectives of the TEAM project are to:
• Identify key employability-related transversal skills developed through team sports
• Support young people in recognising and articulating these skills
• Strengthen cooperation between sport organisations and employers
• Create structured sport-based learning and reflection activities
• Develop sustainable and transferable tools for sport and youth professionals
Target Groups
The primary target group of the TEAM project consists of young people aged 18–30, including young athletes and physically active youth. Special attention is given to young people with fewer opportunities, including those facing social, economic, or educational barriers.
Secondary target groups include:
• Coaches, trainers, and sport educators
• Youth workers
• Employers and labour-market stakeholders
